I am sharing with you my experience of various trails that I have traveled. At this time, the trails will be mostly located in the Midwest United States. I enjoy hiking any and all trails. I do tend to shy away from the easy or paved trails unless weather or trail conditions are not favorable.

When hiking in the Kansas City, Kansas and Missouri areas, the trails will be closed quite often due to weather and trail conditions. There are several places to check and verify that the trails are open. Johnson County Parks and Urban Trails are two places that I reference often. I will also follow fellow hikers on Facebook who live in the area.

The All Trails app is a great source of information that I use to determine the conditions of the trails and sometimes what to expect along the route.

I will hike or walk in just about any condition but rain will usually keep me inside, but not for long.
